My attempt at making a recorder, but without a detailed technical spec I could not get it to produce the right notes.
The wood is crabapple at the top and the rest is yew.
Off centre turning. Need more practice to produce a realistic shape.
It was to be a vase, but the greenwood cracked and became a bird house.
Bird house made from crabapple greenwood. Hope it is occupied soon.
May be penguins could be more successful if they had a conference on world peace...!

I love Yew...! I call these no worries objects...

Takes me back to my childhood, what was it they called it?
I made a few play objects with Yew for my grandson but it transpired that this wood is poisonous, so I was left with them myself.
Couldn't resist putting this one on... well it has a few wood turning parts, and my grandson is having fun with it...!
